Aurora Safari Camp was designed to celebrate the beauty of Arctic winter conditions – a place to escape the hustle of modern life. With secluded cabins and panoramic views, the camp is the perfect destination for those seeking a winter retreat or Northern Lights adventure. Aurora Safari Camp has five heated cabins: three large Tipi Cabins and two cosy Lapland Cones, along with our Forest Sauna and Sauna in the Ice.

Winter prices start from 18,900 SEK per night, based on double occupancy.

Sauna in the Ice

A special feature of Aurora Safari Camp in winter is our sauna on the frozen lake. Right outside the sauna, guests can take a dip in the ice pool. The sauna cabin is also equipped with a 12-volt shower system and spacious changing room. We ensure that guests have private timeslots to use the sauna and shower facilities.

Forest Sauna

The forest sauna is a place to enjoy the sights and sounds of the woodland surrounding the camp while you warm up and wind down after an adventure-filled day. This traditional wood-fired sauna is also equipped with a 12-volt shower and changing room. We ensure that guests have private timeslots to enjoy the sauna and shower facilities.

Dining Cabin

The dining cabin and lounge are the heart of Aurora Safari Camp. A place to watch the sun rise over the frozen lake with a cup of coffee; sit by the fire after a snowshoe walk through the forest; or spend candlelit dinners tasting flavours of the north. Our menu is focused on local, seasonal produce and inspired by the traditions of Swedish winter cooking.

The use of the below equipment is included in a stay at the camp for guests to use as and when they wish. The area has a varied terrain, and the guides and hosts keep a many different tracks open to get around in throughout the months of winter.

Snowshoes

Snowshoes are ideal for trekking in deep winter, uniquely designed for walking on powdery snow without sinking. We offer guided tours by snowshoe day or night, whether you’re hoping to explore under the sun or stars.

Nordic skis

Cruise along the designated tracks or go off the beaten path and explore the untouched wilderness with our Nordic skis. Whether a seasoned pro or first-timer, this is a great way to take in the surroundings at your own pace, whether that’s a leisurely glide or a winter workout.

Winter bikes

Adapted for snowy terrains with extra wide tyres, these mountain bikes are ideal for riding the tracks across the frozen lake.
