The Floating Safari Camp
1-6 peopleFloating off the shores of Aurora Safari Camp sits the Floating Safari Camp and sauna raft. Here you can swim, paddle, fish, enjoy the on-deck barbecue in complete seclusion, and spend the night on the water in our high-quality safari tents or cabin room. Available on an exclusive hire basis, this is the perfect spot for a couple, family or group of friends.
The Floating Safari Camp was built for Swedish summer, and the Arctic waters are great for swimming, often reaching 18-25C. On the raft are two safari-style tents and one double room, and there are two options for meals depending on the preference of your group:
Self catered
The kitchen is equipped with a two-burner gas barbecue and 12-volt cool box, and the dining area holds six guests. There is also a fire pit on the deck, perfect for evenings under the stars.
Fully catered
For this option, your host will cook all meals and provide refreshments for your stay. A breakfast buffet is served in the Aurora Safari Camp dining cabin, a 5 minute boat ride across the lake. Lunch is provided according to your activity itinerary, and a 3-course dinner is freshly prepared and served alfresco at the Floating Camp between 6-8pm. The Floating Camp is stocked with house wine, sparkling wine, local beer and soft drinks. House spirits and additional refreshments can be provided on request, prior to arrival. Please note, if the weather is poor, dinner may be moved to the Aurora Safari Camp dining cabin for your comfort.
Prices start from 12,500SEK per night, plus 2,100SEK per person for meals.
Included Activity Equipment
Stays at the Floating Safari Camp include access to the activity equipment below, along with life jackets. Our hosts are always happy to get you started with the equipment and show you where to go, so you can explore the waterways and forest trails. If you prefer a more structured experience, we also offer fully guided trips at an additional charge.
Canoes
Explore the serene waterways surrounding the camp with a leisurely paddle. The calm waters of the surrounding Lake Degerslet are open to all levels of experience, whether you’re a seasoned paddler or first-timer.
Kayaks
For a solo glide through the water without disturbing the peace and quiet, kayaks are perfect for exploring the shallow bays and coves around the camp.
Paddle Boards
Find your flow on our stand-up paddle boards, a great way to bask in the sunshine while exploring the calm lake waters.

What’s Included?
On-board there is a traditional wood-fired sauna with adjoining changing room, and a hot tub outside on the deck. The sauna has a 12V shower available, and there is a private dry toilet and foot-pump powered wash basin on board.
All facilities and equipment on the Floating Safari Camp are for your group’s exclusive use during your stay. Guests are free to enjoy the lake with our paddle boards, canoes, kayaks, basic fishing equipment and life jackets.
